The DualSense wireless controller, captivates more of our senses and immerses users into another world.
Sony has recently launched a new Controller for upcoming PS5. The controller will make your gaming experience to next level via its news DualSense. Sony also confirmed the controller with 3.5 mm headphone jack, which is another features of this controller. As per Sony “The DualSense wireless controller, captivates more of our senses and immerses users into another world.”
The new controller has a new feature, haptic feedback. This allows users to be even more immersed during game-play and feel sensations like “the slow grittiness of driving a car through mud.” Not only that, but PlayStation has also incorporated adaptive triggers which lets users feel the effort in your actions like “drawing a bow to shoot an arrow.” These adaptive triggers are on the L2 and R2 buttons.
PlayStation wanted to ensure users would not only be able to enjoy these new features but also feel comfortable with the controller. In order to make the controller feel smaller than it looks, PlayStation updated the grip and adjusted the trigger angles. To lesson the weight of the controller but maintain a strong battery life was another aspect that took some consideration. One button that users may realize is missing is the “Share” button. PlayStation assures users that it isn’t fully going away, it’s just being replaced with a new button feature called “Create.” As always, PlayStation wants to ensure users can share their epic content with the world.
Eye-catching appearance is also sought after as PlayStation makes controllers two-toned instead of the typical solitary color. Another feature that makes the design more attractive is the movement of the lightbar which now sits on each side of the touch pad.
Another nice feature is the built-in microphone array. This removes the need to always have a headset and allows players to jump into a conversation with friends. This microphone array won’t replace the quality of headset so make sure to keep them handy.
PlayStations goal with this design is to “give gamers the feeling of being transported into the game world… to feel like the controller is an extension of themselves when they’re playing – so much so that they forget it’s even in their hands!”
Although Xbox X series controller is much loved by gamers as it started to supported with Apple Arcade and other gaming console. But the best part is, headphone jack is still carried with both controller, while smartphone manufacturers already said bye.
As the PS5 DualSense controller is starting to reach customers, we will see if it has met the standards PlayStation hopes to achieve.
