On August 7th, at the Unpacked event in New York the newest Samsung Galaxy phone has been announced. It will be available to purchase in stores on August 23rd in the United States, United Kingdom, and Australia. However, if you want to beat the line, you can pre-order the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 for your convenience.
Now that the newest Samsung phone has been announced, we can confirm rumors and take a look at exactly what Samsung has in store for us.
- 6.8 inch display
- Includes 10 S Pen
- 5 Cameras; One in the front and four on the rear of the phone.
- 7nm processor with 12GB of RAM
- 512GB of internal storage.
- MicroSD slot for 1TB additional storage
The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 phones have removed some features such as the headphone jack and the microSD card slot (still available for Note10+.) By removing these features, the Note10 phones are much sleeker, at 7.9mm, and easily can slide from your hand to your pocket.
Photo and Video
The camera setup differs slightly between the Note10 and the Note10+. The Note10 has three cameras; ultra wide angle, regular, and a telephoto lens. The Note10+ has those three cameras as well as a fourth ToF (Time-of-Flight) lens. The ToF lens is a depthvision camera with an infrared light sensor that measures depth in a reliable fashion. The tiny front camera, same between both phones, gives you more screen space and still providing you with quality photos.
Camera is equipped with features such as Dual Aperture, Ultra Wide Camera, Live Focus, and Screen Optimizer. Dual Aperture automatically adjusts how much light reaches the cameras sensor before taking a photo. Ultra Wide Camera does exactly what it sounds like, increasing your wide angle view to 123 degrees. Live focus allows you to take bokeh shots, where the subject of the photo is clear and the background is blurred. Not only is this feature available for photos, but also for your videos. And lastly, Screen Optimizer enhances the beauty of your photos by automatically detecting what is in the frame.
Adjust and style your videos as if you are editing a photo. Samsung has included multiple new features to make your videos even better. With a Zoom-in Mic you can control how loud or soft the audio is so that your video captures the sounds you want. The Super Steady video stabilization will help you record videos and minimize the shaking while you are on the go. HDR10+ creates videos that look just as realistic as the real image, enhancing the color and detail to bring you back to that moment.
As if that’s not enough, you can also edit your videos to include subtitles, write on them with your 10 S Pen, or adjust how fast the video will playback.
When looking at pre-ordering the Note10, there are four different color choices to select; Aura White, Aura Black, Aura Glow, and Aura Blue. The phones come with a dynamic AMOLED screen which gives the Note10 brilliant colors and a bright screen.
